2016 was a year when many shows up and down the famous Las Vegas Strip closed — top dance shows in Las Vegas that had been running continuously for several decades to shows that opened and closed within a month. It was a year where show producers took chances — some succeeded and others failed. But what remained consistent throughout the year was the level of talent available for work in the destination. The industry’s professional membership organization VegasAuditions.com reports a steady number of subscribers and renewals of performers to its site. This online trade paper for the entertainment community lists castings and auditions for performers in Las Vegas.
Show success is often tied to visitor demand. As seen in the most recent Visitor Profile Study from 2016, when visitor demand for live shows drops, show revenue tends to decrease, show schedules get reduced, and shows close. But throughout the turbulent year, there are still more shows in Vegas for dancers to perform than anywhere else in the country. Not convinced? Check out the video below.
From male and female revues, Broadway classics, nightclubs, and only-in-Vegas-style shows, there are positions available for every type of dancer. Check out the curated list of show photos and descriptions below for popular dance shows and then consider making the move to Las Vegas.
